  • Crossfire - International Co-Production Development Fund

    Tile Films, Dublin and Soapbox Productions, Vancouver are delighted with the announcement from Screen Ireland (formerly the Irish Film Board) and Creative BC to fund the development of our co-production feature "Crossfire". This drama-documentary film reveals the incredible true story of two Canadian RAF pilots and their dramatic escape from internment in neutral Ireland during World War II.

    Creative BC and Screen Ireland (formerly the Irish Film Board) are pleased to announce the recipients of their inaugural international co-production development fund. Through the newly formalized funding partnership, Creative BC and Screen Ireland collaborated to support five motion picture projects, each with Canadian and Irish producers.

    The project slate crosses genres and formats, growing and developing content including television series, documentaries and a feature film. The five successful projects selected are:

    Screen Producers Ireland are today, November 14th, launching a video campaign and are holding an Oireachtas briefing session in Buswells Hotel to showcase the high quality programming of the Irish independent production sector, to recommend solutions for TV Licence Fee reform and to highlight that there is more the TV Licence Fee than just RTÉ.

    Speaking after the video was launched online this morning, Screen Producers Ireland CEO Elaine Geraghty said:
