At the 2013 British Independent Film Festival held at the Empire in Leicester Square, London on Saturday the 4th of May 2013 Saving the Titanic won three major awards. Maurice Sweeney for Best Director, Ciaran McMenamin for Best Supporting Actor and Stephen Rooke for Best Film. These awards add to a long list of recent success's at festivals around the world. As part of the British Independent Film Festival Saving the Titanic was shown simultaneously on eleven screens across the UK.

At the prestigious Celtic Media Festival in Swansea, Wales on Wednesday the 24th April 2013 won the Award for Best Feature Length Drama.
"Saving the Titanic" commemorates the most iconic of all sea disasters - the sinking of the Titanic. The film explores what happened below deck, in the engine and boiler rooms, after the collision with the iceberg. It follows nine men from the engineering crew as they work among the huge, coal-fired furnaces and dynamos to satisfy the ship's demand for power. As the film unfolds, their personal stories of heroism are revealed. Keith and Dave Farrell’s docudrama A Terrible Beauty centres on two linked events during the Irish Rebellion of 1916: the battles of Mount Street and North King Street which culminated in the massacre of 15 innocent young men and boys. Largely told from the perspective of the foot soldiers on both Irish and British sides, and innocent civilians caught in the middle, all characters are real and much of the dialogue is taken directly from accounts given by combatants on both sides, and the wives and mothers of those murdered.

Tile Films’ feature ‘Saving the Titanic’ was awarded the Gold World Medal for best docudrama at the New York Festivals International Television & Film awards, which were held at a ceremony at NAB in Las Vegas.
The film has so far been broadcast in Ireland, the UK, the US, Canada, Germany, Austria and France and been watched by an estimated 10 million people.
‘Saving the Titanic’ is a co-production between Tile Films in Dublin and Gebrueder Beetz Filmproduktion in Germany, in association with the Irish Film Board, RTE, the BAI’s Sound and Vision fund, Windmill Lane Pictures, Section 481, AETN/History UK, ZDF and ZDFE Enterprises.

IFTA-winning documentary series ‘Waterways – The Royal Canal’ is to be made available on DVD on RTE's online shop from Friday the 5th October 2012. Stephen Rooke (Saving the Titanic) directed the series which picked up Best Documentary Series and Best Cinematography in Television for Peter Robertson at the 2012 IFTA Awards. Rachel Towell was the production manager for the series.
The series, which returned to RTÉ screens last year after a 16-year absence, follows naturalist, writer and broadcaster Dick Warner as he travels through the Royal Canal from Dublin to Longford to celebrate its reopening after more than half a century of dereliction.

In April 2010 Tile Films went to MIPTV in Cannes with the format ‘Who Lived In My House’ and entered into talks with various distributors from the UK and US who were interested. Discussions and negotiations continued over the summer and following MIPCOM in October Tile Films agreed to sign a deal with US distributors NBC International.
Speaking about the format Yvonne Pilkington, Senior Vice President, Format Sales and Production, NBCU International said, “ 'Who Lived in My House?' is an intriguing mix of history and personal storytelling which truly makes the past come alive for viewers. On the 5th of September 2011 the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) announced funding awards under Round 11 TV. Tile Films Ltd were granted funding, subject to contract for two projects.
Breith agus Bás a 52 minute documentary for TG4 which tells the story of the Cannon family who have run Lettermacaward Post Office in Donegal for 100 years. Set against a background of revolution and tragedy the Cannon family’s story mirrors the growth of the new nation in a very personal way.
The Graves of the Disappeared is a two part series for TV3 focusing on the period 1919-23 will reveal the true extent of the horror that took place during these years when hundreds of bodies were unceremoniously dumped in unmarked graves.
Both projects will go into pre production later in the year with shooting to start in spring of 2012.
